Our Story
BlaqRocc 101 (Pty) Ltd was founded on a simple belief: that South Africa's renewable energy transition should lift up the communities it touches — not leave them behind. As the country's energy grid decentralises and solar adoption grows, we saw both a workforce gap and an opportunity: train the people who've historically had the least access to technical education to become the technicians the industry urgently needs.
Our flagship initiative, the Bright Futures Solar Skills Training & Empowerment Programme, was built as a Corporate Social Investment model that does more than teach — it installs real solar systems in real homes, creates real jobs, and builds a replicable blueprint for inclusive, green-economy development.
Our Mission
To equip previously disadvantaged youth across South Africa with accredited technical and entrepreneurial skills in solar energy — building a skilled, certified, and job-ready workforce for the country's renewable energy future.
Our Vision
A South Africa where the transition to clean energy creates opportunity for everyone — where green jobs, energy access, and community upliftment grow together.
Training That Makes a Difference
We train in the real world, not just the classroom
Every cohort spends dedicated weeks on live installation projects at homes, schools, and community centres — supervised by BlaqRocc technical leads and signed off by a Professional Engineer/Technician. It's practical exam and community upliftment in one.
We remove the barriers that keep youth out of technical training
Training, logistics, meals, PPE, and tools are all covered — so cost is never the reason a capable young person misses this opportunity.
We build a legacy that outlasts the training
Each cohort leaves behind fully installed, functioning solar systems for disadvantaged households — immediate, tangible impact beyond the certificate.
